DNA Dad: “I’m an idiot!”
James Watson, a Nobel Prize winner for his part in discovering the structure of DNA, has provoked outrage with his comments, made ahead of his arrival in Britain today.(…)
The 79-year-old geneticist said he was “inherently gloomy about the prospect of Africa†because “all our social policies are based on the fact that their intelligence is the same as ours – whereas all the testing says not really.”. He said he hoped that everyone was equal, but countered that “people who have to deal with black employees find this not trueâ€.(…)
He has been reported in the past saying that a woman should have the right to abort her unborn child if tests could determine it would be homosexual.
Living proof of someone who can be a scientific genius but a moron regarding social behaviour. He has the brains to discover DNA, but apparently it isn’t enough to keep his racist and homophobic comments to himself. Maybe it’s just the age kicking in, but still could be avoided.

You’d be amazed how stretched out of proportion and twisted his comments are taken from time to time. But if you’ve followed his history of statements, you’d know he likes to blow a lot of smoke.
I wouldn’t go as far as call him names because of it…

Sometimes we have a tendency to get a bit flammy about these kind of subjects. I guess I went a bit too far.

No, you didn’t went to far. Dr. Watson is well know for making controversial statements like these (like when he advocated abortion for fetus who had strong genetical probability of being homossexuals) and he often uses this stunts to promote himself, he is apparently promoting a book. Sadly, it seems obvious that Mr. Watson may be genetically inclined to be a moron and no amount of scientifical knowledge will prevent him to be just that.
