There a list of websites that I just cant live without these days:

  • Bloglines: although it has a sluggish interface, this is my reader of choice, as I use two computers daily, bloglines keeps my feeds updated. I’ve tried Google Reader but it just didn’t work for me, Bloglines has been my companion for years and I’ll keep loyal to it
  • Lifehacker: you gotta love the download of the day and all those handy tips that makes our geek life a lot more pleasant
  • Techcrunch: I like to follow the web trends and Techcrunch does a good job on keeping me posted
  • Digg: sure there’s a lot of crap and Apple fanboyism, but there also a lot of very useful resource links
  • Del.ici.ous popular: just like Digg, a very nice location to find useful stuff, and to keep track on what people are reading
  • Twitter: Yes I know, useless, but fun! I started a while back and now I just can’t stop twittering, even from my cell. Sure, no one is reading, but do I care?
  • Engadget: I also like to keep track of the latest gadgets, nobody does that better than these guys
  • Netvibes: not so much of a website but more of a tool, I use netvibes to access the feeds of sites that update too often
  • Planeta Asterisco: a nice blog aggregator that syndicates Portuguese tech bloggers
  • The Superficial: there’s nothing wrong with a little celebrity gossip now and then, I don’t read it because I like to keep track of what celebrities are doing (ok I do!), but because this makes the best comments ever
  • New Musical Express: as a music geek I like to keep track of what is going on the music world
  • Diario Digital: it’s kind of crappy journalism, but it’s the only online Portuguese news site that actually updates often
