I haven’t used a buzzer alarm clock for ages, it made me very cranky, the same with radio, because I placed the alarm clock next to the bed.
I’ve been waking up with my mini hi-fi for a while, and I set the volume very low, this way I calmly wake up, avoiding the shock of waking up with a loud sound, sometimes I even wake up before it sets off. The second alarm is a good idea, if you have a heavy sleep, it’s an insurance that you will wake up the hard way.
